Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."1 Peter 1:3

Easter is a season of joy and hope. The resurrection of Christ is the greatest event in the history of mankind worthy of celebration! The day when everlasting life broke into earthly time began not with celebration but with tears.  It was not a public occasion but a private one. The question is how do we demonstrate this individually?

We are surrounded by our own brokenness and the brokenness of others.  God created us to have fellowship and intimacy with Him. We are not meant to keep this good news to ourselves either.  Jesus died for the sins of the world, and the gift of salvation is available to all who believe.  As God’s children, we are called to tell others about God and His love for all.

“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” Matthew 28:6. These are such incredible, miraculous, life-changing words.  His power could not be contained in a graveHis love could not be conquered by death! His truth could never be buried and forgotten! Jesus Christ rose again and He is victorious today!

The resurrection reminds us that no matter what we are going through now or have gone through in the past, what we might be facing today, or what uncertainties tomorrow may hold, Christ alone is our HopeHe conquered death, rose from the grave, is all powerful, gives new life so that we can live free!   We have so much to celebrate today, for He has risen forever!!

Mark 16:15, says ”And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Jesus was talking to His disciples after they had initially not believed Mary when she told them of His resurrection. We have a great opportunity to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, and reflect on the sacrifice He made on the cross.  We bring Him glory when we tell others of His goodness.

Pray your response to the Lord personally, meaningfully and genuinely.

Reflect:

What areas of your life is God asking you to trust Him with more?

Think of one person you could share this celebration with, pray for them, text them or call them. Jesus is worth celebrating!
