Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:6

Getting to know someone involves a combination of open communication, active listening, and shared experiences. It's a process of building trust and understanding through genuine engagement and a willingness to share yourself. Knowing God is a process of walking with him daily, listening to him through His word, and worship. God's Word is a primary way He communicates with us, revealing His character, will, and love. God’s Word is not just something to be read passively, but a dialogue where you listen to His voice as well.

Prayer is our primary way of communicating with God.  Giving Him priority to first talk with us opens the way for a richer communication.  It involves being honest and open. We allow the Holy Spirit to give us direction because He knows God and us well and giving us direct access to tell God our struggles, joys, and needs. It’s a two-way communication.

Connecting with other believers, sharing faith and encouragement which can deepen our understanding is another way of connecting with God. When we fellowship together in a safe environment our faith will grow as we hear and learn from others experiences. Consequently, this will help bring joy and cause us to flourish in our walk with God.

The Holy Spirit's work in our lives reveals God’s truths and insights to us leading us to spiritual growth and transformation. God desires to change us into His image. His revelation may not be immediate or obvious but requires daily commitment and trust.  Believing in Jesus is the foundation of a relationship with God.  He offers grace and mercy to all who believe and follow his teaching, enabling a life that reflects walking in obedience, humility and authenticity. This deepens our understanding of God and lead to a more intimate relationship with Him.

Paying close attention to God opens the door to hearing God speak to us. Colossians 4:2 tells us being watchful and thankful is an integral part of our prayer conversation. If I'm not watching for God's answer, I can't expect to discern it.

Pray your response to the Lord personally, meaningfully and genuinely.

Consider this:  When was the last time you were forced to chose between easy and

integrity?
