Turning Point?

For everything there is a season, and a time for every activity under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1
Depending on the situation, we can define change in different ways; it could be shifting habits, moving to a new place, or experiencing a change of heart. It is simply the act, process or result of becoming different. In business it could be restructuring, environmentally it could be change of seasons which affects everyone.
We may necessarily not want to read the above verse because it only emphasizes what we already don’t want: change. And yet, there is comfort in this because it indicates that everything is planned and coordinated by God. Nothing is a surprise to God -only to us—and therefore, as we rest in him, we can rest in the new season we are in trusting his ability.
Joshua is an encourager, he says: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9. We’ve often read this verse, but if we meditate on the message we can find that God is instructing us to not be afraid. It isn’t a suggestion but rather a command. Why? Because the Lord our God is with us wherever we go. The simplicity of it is what often makes faith complex. Be strong, be brave. God is here. He specializes in transformations that make us better.
God’s ways are established as we are reminded by Paul in Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” His name is Unchangeable so he is the only one we can honestly and fully depend on all the time.
Pray your response to the Lord personally, meaningfully and genuinely.
Reflect:
There is the option to embrace the times God calls us toward spiritual transformation from an old way of living to a new life aligned with Him to become more fruitful in his Kingdom.
We don’t have to be afraid to trust regarding an unknown future when we have an All-Knowing God with us!
How does does this season feel like a time of waiting, growth, healing or change?
