Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength,    not a single one is missing. Isaiah 40:26

At the beginning of the year, we all engage in self-reflection, journaling about the past year's lessons, and clarifying priorities and intentions for the future. But not before long we alter our opinions, break promises, modify plans, and procrastinate. Facts get distorted, truth is twisted and we can easily be tossed about like waves on the sea. But God’s truth still stands steadfast!

This verse emphasizes God's supreme power as the Creator who meticulously organizes the vast universe, highlighting His unmatched might and faithfulness.  The account of creation explains the awesomeness of God, the “Designer Artist”. He is limitless and capable of doing anything He chooses to do when He decides. The fact that He created this wonderful world in six days shows that He can do anything at anytime! From what the Bible says, there is yet still so much more to come than what we can comprehend!

Abraham described him as ”the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.” Romans 4:17 (b) This testimony is still witnessed today, the perfect Creator who called the world into existence has all the power to do what only He can do. Do you ever wonder how we got here! How he formed man from the dust, breathed his life into him and man became a living person? He performed miracles in Abraham and Sarah’s lives when Isaac was born. He took care of Moses and made him a leader. He brought Jesus, Lazarus and Dorcas back to life as the Bible narrates. Yes, He is Supernatural and He is still doing the same today!

God is still in the business of healing and performing miracles today. Faith in God does not look at the non-existent; it looks at a promise. Every promise that God makes comes into existence. When it is humanly impossible, it is possible with God.

When we stay connected to Jesus our lives progress from barrenness to fruitfulness and spiritual abundance as expressed in John 15:4 “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.” Obedience is Key to being connected to God in our every day lives and affairs. We have safety in his space!

Pray your response to the Lord personally, meaningfully and genuinely!

Reflect:

What is one thing you can do every day this year 2026 to remind you to depend on God and remain in step?

For the “fresh start” to materialize and remain, focus on God, the Designer Artist is key!
