“May the Lord bless you and protect you.  May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” Numbers 6:24-27

The term “to bless” gives the meaning of joy, or experiencing peaceful moments.  A sense of humbling ourselves in recognition of God's blessedness and when receiving a gift or a favor from someone. It could be multiplication of favor - an abundance in every part of life: relationships, work of your hands and security. Blessings gives the impression of increase. We are called to bless or praise the Lord. A gift or favor or multiplication of abundance.

The Lord loves to bless his people. There is power in blessings. David declared “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1. We are called to bless God in the Bible. We can also bless each other, Elizabeth blessed Mary when she heard the news. We are called to bless others in our actions.

Today, a friend blessed me with today’s picture that is featuring. Se has the gift of painting and knows I love flowers. It’s a picture of joy, on it she indicated the date and her name on it! I personally want to thank YOU for blessing the Lord and also me as you click to read the devotionals!  I bless you with God’s Unending Love!

Reflect on Psalm 103: 1-5

Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!  Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

I encourage you to bless someone in your life today in whichever way the Lord directs you; perhaps by sending them a text message or whichever way the Holy Spirit directs you!  It is a good thing!
